Some hardware made by The KDS Communicator 104 is a modem from KDS Electronics. Unlike most other modems, it connects directly to the CPC's expansion port (rather than using a separate serial RS232 interface).
* The Communicator might be a modem (according to a review in the Danish Amstrad Magazine Amstradbladet 1985, Issue 6 page 35). Possibly a revision of the Mini-Max Modem from KDS.
* It might also be a Serial and Parallel interface being made years later in 1992 (according to http://www.retroisle.com/amstrad/cpc/Articles/hwlist.php).== Reviews ==
The above descriptions do more or less conflict with each other, the danish article from * Amstradbladet 1985 sounds a bit more trustworthy, but maybe both descriptions are correct (and the whole package consisted of both a modemIssue 6, bundled with serial/parallel interface). (Note: A "104 modem" is mentioned on page 35(Danish). (KDS 104 modem is reviewed * Amstrad Computer User, Issue 11-1985, review on pages 33 and 36* Amstrad Computer User, according this reviewIssue 12-1985, the "104 modem connects directly to the CPCs expansion port (without needing a serial interface at all" also mentioned on page 7). == Connections == The KDS 104 connects to the discdrive port of the CPC* Amtix, more info at: Issue 0, short review on page 10
