A starter-kit is a board made for learning FPGA, so it is a standard board.
Games running on it are : Tempest, Fruity Frank, Boulder Dash, Classic Invader, Xevious, Wiz'lair, Ghost'n'Goblins, Chase HQ, Xor, P47, Bruce Lee, Gryzor (romnation's one), Prince of Persia, Trail Blazer, Antiriad, Buggy Boy, Crazy Car Cars II, Donkey Kong, Axiens, Invaders, Arkanoid, Buggy Boy, Ikari Warriors, Barbarian, Barbarian II, Bubble Ghost, Super Ski, Action Fighter, Cauldron, Dan Dare I II and III, The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars, Rick Dangerous I and II, Bomb Jack I and II, POP-UP, Mario Bros, Rock Raid, Rygar, Hyperbowl.
Inconvenience known is that PS/2 keyboard has timeout and can't press more that a certain number of keys at same time. So it's really encouraged to plug joystick (don't do as me, don't cut directly wires, just weld a male serial port lol), and sure to plug sound ;)
In december 2011 newer VGA display done, allowing address/ink/mode derail... unlocking Gryzor, Trail Blazer and Prince of percia :) [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8FB_eIy8LY youtube video: FPGAmstrad candidate 002 - Amstrad CPC 6128 on starter kit NEXYS2 - FPGA - VHDL - long test ]
In november 2011, I merge several code (a better SD module and other small things), I debug dsk_select (the last amstrad disk was in fact not inserted, you had to put another dsk file on SD card to detect it...), I recode interrupt correctly (no real changes feel, perhaps a better speed feel), I pass VRAM from 16Ko to 32Ko (so crazy car cars II startup image is displayed fully) and I start a new way of implementation of VGA display solution that allows address derail [[http://quasar.cpcscene.com/doku.php?id=assem:crtc] "amstrad rupture"]
In September 2011, I have done research about USB joystick; I plug it successfully on another FPGA project. Not tested on FPGAmstrad, but it synthetises on FPGAmstrad 1200kgates target.
Gryzor and Prince of Percia use rupture ink/mode (changing ink and mode during display of one image), it is now supported on "candidate 002" version of FPGAmstrad
Crazycar2Crazycars2.dsk first car image use 32Ko of VRAM, it is now supported on "candidate 001" version of FPGAmstrad
A lot of demos don't pass, in fact I didn't find one that pass damn.
