Dear friends,

Thanks, guys. I´m writing the titles down for when my 6128 arrives.  ;)

Some of them I got on my C64 already.

Some titles I really love on the C64/Spectrum: Exolon, Barbarian: The Ultimate Warrior, Cybernoid 1 & 2, Navy Moves, LED Storm, Uridium, Wec Le Mans, Turbo Esprit etc.

This is a question that pops up occasionally on this forum, and the replies are always very different. (Sometimes people start arguing about it)  :)

There are some (mostly newer) games that are technically really great and fun too. Dead on Time is my personal favorite, and Star Sabre, Bubble Bobble and Orion Prime are also productions I admire. Also keep a lookout for the soon to be released new version of R-Type.

Besides those newer ones, there are those nostalgic games which just brings us back. While these aren't technically stunning, they're good retro entertainment in my opinion. So also check out titles like Fruity Frank, Dr. Destructor, Radzone, Gunfright, Frostbyte and Bomb Jack II.

Carrier Command is pretty cool too!

Yes, this question comes up from time to time and it's always (really) a great discussion. Maybe you could define how you mean "best"....

Personally, for me "best" means the game(s) that I remember from back in the day that I enjoyed playing the most; games like GAUNTLET that went on forever or U.N.SQUADRON that I used to play with my friends co-op. I would even consider Amsoft games like SPANNERMAN or OH MUMMY as being the best because I used to enjoy playing them and they were some of the first games I played when I downloaded a CPC emulator.
I would also prioritise the games I had in the 80s and early 90s over new games or old games I've since discovered; again purely due to the nostalgia.

There are some games I would have preferred to forget... but that's not the subject of this thread! ^_^

UN Squadron despite the lack of pace is an awesome conversion on the CPC... and the two player option was just amazing. Me and my cousin used to throw hours into playing that game, along with Gauntlet... to this day I still can't understand how UN Squadron was even possible on the CPC, the graphics, music, and sprites on screen were amazing.
