Sorry, this one is unique and NOT for sale.

I's certainly need to cover my costs....
£7.99 for the Donor Cart
£2.00 for the 27c2001
£something for printer ink ;)

£20 and I could make a profit... £25 and I could give some to @arnoldemu

Teeheehee, Still not for sale tho.

Put it in for 100 and see what happens.  ;)  I guess you get 500 out. Ebay....  :-\

Actually I have a suggestion, as if TFM is correct and on Ebay somebody is willing to pay upwards of £100 (He guesses 500). Especially if this is the certified only genuine copy! How about if Craig does this and the money above costs is used to fund new carts.

As the (c) owner and maker of Fluff I'd happily convert this to a .CPR too and allow Craig to create the only ever released cart and put that on ebay to raise funds in a similar way.

This money could then be used by Bryce or whoever to buy enough hardware parts or maybe try out the 3d print method.

Atleast this way we'd all move slowly towards the goal of getting new carts produced, and it will be funded by the mad people that want to collect them for silly prices on Ebay :)

As promised... Ink arrived in the mail today, and the end result after a good polishing of the de-labelled cart shell is as shown below.

I hope you like it @arnoldemu
I do indeed! :)

I would prefer a different game of mine to be sold: one where I have full copyright over it. Because then can't be any dispute or issues resulting from the sale.

Craig, the label is printed really well. Did you have to resize it or anything or just print it directly and stick it on? I didn't test a print of it so I don't know if it was exactly the correct size or not.

Have you printed the booklet yet? I think it's more of a challenge because it requires double sided printing and stapling. I don't know the best way to print it so you can staple it.

Edit: with the printed booklet, cart and a plastic bag to put it in, it's the same distribution method as the "Enforcer" cart I have.

If you give me permission I would happily do the conversion and send you the cpr/bin to distribute in the form you wish.
I would not expect any money from my help.

I would use my cartridge filesystem to create it.

Is the game GX4000 compatible? Does it need some code patching to work from joystick only???

I'm pretty sure I made it purely for the Keypad, as it was plus only everyone that played it would have the controller. It would use firmware as its a level loader though.
My idea was to convert it myself and add a few images to make it slightly better and use some ROM. I was never very happy with the game, mainly down to the thing being hurried for the Amstrad Action in time review. There was never any polishing, which was sad.

I'm sure somebody would pay top dollar for the only official cart version of Fluff surely (Perhaps we could make 2 copies as I'd love to own 1 too). And if we could then use this in some way to get some boards/cases made then I think its a win win. This actually depends is CraigsBar and Bryce would be happy to work with this idea too

I don't have the ability to make the physical cart, actually I have no hardware at all anymore

ok. If you want to use my loader so you don't need the os and firmware there I am happy for you to do that.
I use it to load the title screen and level pictures in blue angel 69.

As long as there is a supply of donor carts at 7.99 from trade in post, and I can get the required eproms the sure, why not. I'm not sure we'd break even tho :(

The pdf was a 22inch square document, so when printed was tiny.

I needed to preview it in Adobe reader at 100% zoom
Grab a screenshot of the label with the osx capture tool
Paste this I no the gimp so I could check dimensions (it was still the perfect 4.5cm wide)

Finally I printed it onto some fairly heavy white paper an stuck it onto the cartridge with double sided carpet tape.

I like the result.

Will look at how best to print the booklet tonight.

We're only talking one or two carts.  Fluff wasn't a great game, but most collectors of GX4000 would know of it and the chance to own the only official cart copy must be worth a decent amount surely. Its also a good thing to see if carts actually would sell for the future also.
I wonder what Chase HQ 2 would go for.... more than a thousand euros surely!
If people really don't think it would make 1-2 hundred euros and cover the making costs of 20 quid-ish then its not worth the effort I guess?????

CraigsBar

And I guess that is why the 2 owners of Chase hq2 are not allowing it to be dumped.

interesting.

I did set the document sizes in openoffice/libreoffice to match the cartridge label size and the size of the booklet.

Perhaps this got lost in translation when I "printed" it to pdf.

How do we know how much it will go for if we don't try it?

Guess we have to try it then... with proceeds going towards somehow getting new carts without having to bastardize old ones :)

CraigsBar

Well, get me a gx enhanced fluff and I'll cart it.

Ok, I will do an update of Fluff for cart

TFM

Since we already talk about it (and I may be a bit guily  ;) ), my status is: I got 100 PCBs for Cartridges (512 KB EPROMs) and 100 ACIDs What I miss is 100 capacitors (still don't know which I shall use or can use) and also the 100 Cartridge shells.

About pricing: I do have to sell some special stuff on Cartridge for high prices on ebay. This is for funding all other parts, the ACID for example was a bit more than 8 Euros each!

I have 99 capacitors. I bought 100 for bryces multi cart I made up so assuming the values are the same.

I don't know. Does his muticart work?

Shipping to the USA may be more expensive than buying 100 by myself. Just don't know which type exactly. Bryce told me it should be something 100 nF. I have to start to care about it.  :)

A Long time ago, in a rented house far, far away (Slough in Berkshire actually) when I made my own Parados Patched cart I found a really nice 'PCB' style grey backdrop for the cart label, Damn I cannot find it anymore. Anyway here is a photo of that cart.

That was back in the day when commercial software was still being made. I think now days somebody could simulate a steaming dog poo, and if it had a hardware sprites for the steam people would want it on cartridge.

Hmm, Dung Beetle Simulator.  Maybe even "Pro Dung Beetle Simulator", stick a Codemasters logo on it, job's done.
