This time a game I discovered completely fortuitously while it seems to be more famous on C64 and Speccy :

NODES OF YESOD from Odin Computer Graphics

Of course, many thanks to @Urusergi for patching this one, I have to tell that it's a good suprise and I begin to try to complete on GX4000 last week. I hope I'm not too rusty with this kind of game as it's really playable but a bit difficult too. Sadly, it's a sequel of "The Arc Of Yesod "that isn't available on CPC.

Controls:
J1B1 = Jump
J1B2 = Pause game (any button to unpause)
Pause button = Quit game

Modifications for the GX4000 version:
    - Wait for fire on title screen,
    - All game keys patched,
    - Poke : Unlimited lives.

Phantomz

Rock Star Ate My Hamster
Rock Star Ate My Hamster Bizarre Edition
Rock Star Ate My Hamster Millennium Edition

Thanks @Nich for the new disc versions on cpc-power.

Controls:
Use Joypad 1 to navigate the in game menus.

The game can be controlled by Joypad 1 using the menu's, however, if you press to name the group or a single  by accident, or make a album then you would be stuck as you need a keyboard to type.

However I've remapped Enter to the Dpad and Button 1, and Button 2 can be used to delete, so you can press the pause button for P or use Joypad 2 for RT56GF if required.
I didn't change any keys as wanted to leave them alone so it will work properly on PLUS machines.

There are both clean versions and  new Trainer versions to make them GX4000 friendly.

A very personal one that I played a lot as a child. Many thank, as usual, to @Urusergi for that. Not the best "pre-SF2" versus fighting game, for sure, but it's always interesting to offer 2 player games on G4000  ;)

J1B1/J2B1 = Punch and other hit movements with a direction
J1B2-J1UP/J2B2-J2UP = Jump

Modifications for the GX4000 version
    - Wait for fire on title screen,
    - All game keys patched and text modified,,
    - Pokes: Invincibility for player 1, player 1 wins with only one hit.

HYAH !! :P

We were keeping this one for the next week, but as it seems it's beginning to make turmoil on CPC Wiki, I prefer to reveal it now in order to avoid any problem of distorted version which could be released now on GX4000. So here it is :

PROHIBITION from Infogrames

The game already benefits of a GX4000 conversion, thanks to @Phantomz , but this one is really different.

After I talked to him in PM of our desire to offer a new Prohibition patch including the 128K version, Nich hardly worked on a new crack of the game that will be fully compatible on Amstrad "Plus" systems, of course including GX4000 (technically speaking).

In addition to this already fantastic work, Nich prepared a special image destined to be patch on GX4000, automatically recognizing if you have 64K or 128K RAM. So if you play it on a standard GX4000, the 64K version will be launched, as usual (nothing new for the standard GX4000, I'm afraid). But if you are the proud holder of a modded GX4000 which benefits from 128K RAM, it's the full version that will be launched. Full screen display, hide screen, high score table and most of all the boss sections, will be yours.

Many thanks as usual to @Urusergi that permitted to this version to be fully controled on GX4000 8)

Controls:
J1B1 = Fire
J1B2 = Hide
Pause button = Pause game

Nich's work on this version:
    - "Plus" range of systems compatibility patch,
    - 64K/128K releases merged,
    - Automatic selection of the release to launch depending on the RAM available.

Modifications for the GX4000 version:
    - Wait for fire on title screen,
    - All game keys patched,
    - Poke: Unlimited time.

It remains impossible to make the 128K version working on a 64K GX4000 without the source code. But at least, there is an opportunity to enjoy it on the few GX4000s that has been 128K modded  ;)

Solo Kazuki

How about Extreme with weapon select on Fire 2?

Solo Kazuki

How about Frontline?
Fire 2 to throw grenades, Fire 1 + Fire 2 to set up mines.

I just realized nobody seems to be uploading gameplay samples of this fantastic work to Youtube.

I humbly suggest anyone who has the equipment to share some gameplay. I'm curious to see it working on a real machine!

we have more than one trick up our sleeve, but this week will be just for a little update, while you continue to beat your own record in Prohibition :P :

ASTERIX AND THE MAGIC CAULDRON from Melbourne House

Indeed, I discovered that the version previously converted in CPR is broken at start with wrong colours on title screen and a bad command in the basic launcher :picard: . So here is a clean one 8) .

Just a little news about a good surprise which has more links to this topic than it seems. A new CPC emulator for the Nintendo DS has just been released: Sugar CPC. And this emulator already works pretty well. It's not the first emulator on the DS, but it's extremely intuitive and easy to use. There's still work to be done to make everything run smoothly, but it's promising.

Of course, you have to accept horizontal resizing for games at 320x200, but that's inherent to the DS's native resolution. And you also have to forget about overscan games. But as soon as you run a game at 256x192, it's truly flawless, and the resize is really acceptable for 320x200. Kudos to @wavemotion-dave

Of course, I love the fact that you can use CPRs from CPC games that have been converted for the GX4000. Instant loading without seeing the Basic Locomotive, all patched on the console, full joypad so no use of the digital keyboard. It's perfect on the DS, and you can also take advantage of the extras with 128K of RAM.

For now, the emulator doesn't support the Plus features, but it still offers a host of games that can be enjoyed comfortably thanks to the games patched in this thread 8)

Oh nice... I might give this a try on my 3DS XL :D
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

No matter for the picture, it was just a joke ;)  I just took time to test on my 6128+ and it perfectly works. So why not on your 464+  :-\
