Steve, you do realise that the server time is only correct for *one* time zone, right? :D

Yes, of course I do, I was only joking.

Thank you to Tastefulmrship, I have now altered my profile and the time is now as correct as I can make it. ;D

Gryzor

Or everyone could move to the correct time zone...

Hmm, Sounds tempting if the rubbish has been removed from Metaxourgeio!

I guess L.A. Swat can be best used to describe that place?

Unsure this has anything to do with Metaxourgeio, for some reason this place/property in ΜΕΤΑΞΟΥΡΓΕΙΟ popped up, I've been bragging about it on Twitter. One photos looks like it's showing some kind of Guard House on the Hill, the other photo shows a bare plot of ground which needs to be built on. 70,000 Euros!   Still seems like a Bargain (even if it's too pricey by my standards!  :( ), though places here which have nice views usually go into the Millions and usually their criminals damaging coastal vegetation just to have their views!  >:(  Last laugh is on them when Erosion removes their homes and properties by Accelerating the process!

Yeah, I saw your tweet. Those photos have no connection with Metaxourgeio :D

Gryzor

Btw, time should now be correct - there was no binding with an NNTP server before, it's fixed now :)

Gryzor

Apologies for the multiple notifications you might be getting, I guess this will continue until the queue has emptied... please bear with us!

I didn't think it was possible to 'remove' one of your own posts if a thread was CLOSED. I have just managed to do this, but surely that's not right? A 'locked' topic is supposed to be locked from all normal users' editing.

Is this a setting that wasn't transferred?

Gryzor

I think it's an issue of policy rather than a bug. In my view, a topic gets locked not in order to preserve it for posterity but to prevent more of -er, what's going on in that thread.

I think the setting to remove one's own posts is universal, and rightly so... Removing a post is not editing. Or not?

Agree! And the control over the own creations (posts) is a human right. IMHO even editing. (But I have no problem if editing is not doable). On the other hand deleting a lot of posts may screw up threads.

Gryzor

Meh... I can think of a few cases where one should not be able to remove his posts, but I don't think we're there yet - there haven't been problems that serious that we need to consider it yet...

TFM

Meh? Meaw, Nih, Nyan  :o
