As the cpm is the precursor of msdos, i wonder if its possible to implement the tcp/ip protocol.
Or was this already done ?

I would love to surf on internet with a cpc ;)

AMSDOS

A while ago there was some project to get a CPC hooked up to the Internet, though it was through the means of a PC because I think the only thing limiting the CPC is memory or something.

CP/M was a popular Operating System originally designed for Intel's 8080 processor though because Zilog made a Compatible processor which is found in our Beloved CPC CP/M is available to us as well. Microsoft built their MSDOS from a Crack of CP/M though early in the PCs life the people who made CP/M also made it available for a PCs and other 8086/8088 computers as well (not all of them were IBM Compatibles) with CP/M-86 which allowed up to 640kb, I'm unsure if any Internet projects have emerged from that, though given it was happening with 640kb DOS, CP/M-86 would possibly be capable of doing the same.

The thing about our CPC is we have an ability of Formatting our Disks to IBM Format, I think it maybe this format which is compatible in CP/M-86, though because 3" Discs never really standardised in PCs, it's a format which doesn't get used. :)

AMSDOS

Theoretically it should also be quite possible for a CPC to do in FutureOS if it can handle up to 4Mb I guess.  ;D
