I have no disk games in my collection and I'd like at least one! So which game should I buy first?

Do you need music for your Amstrad CPC game project?
Take a look at IndieGameMusic.com - that's where I put my tracks.

Gryzor

Great suggestion! Can you still buy it? I wonder...

MacDeath

Cyber Chicken of course... ::)

Orion Prime.  :)

Orion Prime was a great game, but a limited release. I do not think you can buy it any longer

mkay, well... I bought an extra copy, for a special case like this.....  ;)

Tell me if you're interested.
(Then I just gotta find out where I put it.....)

I bought a 3.5" version and a 3" version. Never used the 3" version. Only opened it to check that all was there.

Of course, Orion Prime is only a great game to have, if you like adventure games.
If you do like adventure games, it's simply a game you have to own. The Bible says so.

If you still have the 3" version of Orion Prime, I'll buy it from you for Dad.. he's a huge adventure fan.

(he's still ill and I want to cheer him up)

Thanks!

I'll look for it. I'm trying to remember where I stored it. I'm pretty sure I stored it somewhere, to be found later, I just can't remember where.  :)

Annabelle got me Hit Squad from a local independent computer shop while I was in hospital.. I would love Thrill Time and Intergral even if they were copies..

I personally like APB myself, the game caught my attention after AAs review of it stated to stay away from it if you were a Tape Owner. It's also clever because if it detects 128k, the game will load additional Data into those areas. A lot more Disc Loading is done if you have a 64k system. Not sure if the Tape System of it is like that, but I guess it would be good to reward those with 128k which would save a lot of loading.  :D
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D * And create my own ;)
* Incorporating the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D

APB had extra 128k features ? no wonder why i loved this game... never played it in 64k.

In 64k format the game pretty much was the same, so I don't think wasn't any compromise on music or anything like that, though that game would work out how much memory you have and use the applicable code. So for a 64k Disc Based System there would be more hold ups while the code is being loaded.

I'm not sure if the same applies for Tape, so if it was tested on a 464 with 128k it might do the same. Multi-load games would have been better in that sense if they worked out how much memory you had and loaded accordingly, in some cases the more memory you have an entire multi-load game could be loaded in  :D

Sorry no. I've looked all the places where I was sure it was, but I just can't find it. I'm puzzled now.
