What's annoying me the most at the moment is both eBay and PayPal's stupid 45 day limit on disputes and feedback. It's just not enough time when you live in the arse end of the world to determine whether an item is delayed by the post/customs, and by the time you've figured out you're not going to get the item, you can't get a refund, or leave negative feedback.

PayPal I can sort of understand why, and I can go to my credit card provider to get a refund if I'm lucky, but why on Earth does eBay have such a limit on feedback, should be 365 days at least.

I would have thought 14-21 working days was the rule, if you didn't have it in that time then there's a problem?

Gryzor

Indeed; that's why you initiate a claim when the 45 days are almost up and you haven't got it - you always have the chance to close the dispute later if the item arrives.

I got another!

protek

@Neil79: That really is a twisted individual. So, do you have to return the game now that you've got a refund?

Gryzor

No, the refund being issued means the story ends here. And yeah, this seems to be a disturbed person...

Correct :)

I'm keeping it just for the sake of just one game working and the others just sometimes, I wouldn't be able to re-sell it that's for sure!

In it's current state probably only worth a fiver if that

Sorry to hear that Carnivac! Unlike those gimps I pretty much pay as soon as I buy

Can vouch for that.  You paid for Crystal Kingdom Dizzy quick enough, yep yep.

You're lucky to get mail where I live from Queensland in that timescale!

Hmmm okay. My friends in Qld live an hour from Brisbane in the Noosa area, when they send mail to me it takes 3 days and when I send mail to them 4 days, though I guess going from Suburban Melbourne to a Built-up area near Brisbane things would be quick. Being in a Remote area would make a difference, though I was to understand that 21 days is the promise (Aust. Post?) have to deliver anything from anywhere in Australia?

Generally, I think it's an extra day or two at the most to Westbury (Tas) compared to a capital city like Melbourne or Brisbane. Some things I've bought from China have taken over a month to arrive, and others only a week or so. I eventually got a refund through ANZ for my Acorn Electron which never arrived, even after the PayPal dispute period was well and truly past.

I haven't done business with China, though being International it may take more than 21 days.  ???
