Meet the game-obsessed man who spent over ,000 turning his bedroom in a

looks pretty neat alot of dollars though to convert his room into a video game arcade.....

The space includes games like Street Fighter II, The Kong Off, Punch-Out!, Tron and Fix It Felix Jr., the fictional game seen in Disney's Wreck-It Ralph.

Carnivius

I couldn't even afford to have a bedroom as nice as the one in the 'before' pic.  Seems kind of a shame.

I presume that 'Street Fighter II' is actually a MAME thing judging by the TV and the fact there's four sets of joysticks/buttons when SFII only requires two.   The other two being for games of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1 & 2), Simpsons, X-Men and anything else that supports four players at once.
Favorite CPC games: Count Duckula 3, Oh Mummy Returns, RoboCop Resurrection, Tankbusters Afterlife

Seeing what it is, I can not understand where the money has gone...

its expensive to live in new york maybe ?

Gryzor

It probably is; modifying a room shouldn't be that much higher though :D

I don't see the problem. I just effectively spent £120 on 2 keyboard keys :'(

When my girlfriend and me browse the net for houses, the first thing we look for is: "Where could we put the retro gaming room?"   :D
Do you need music for your Amstrad CPC game project?
Take a look at IndieGameMusic.com - that's where I put my tracks.

Ah, I must confess I'd feel more safe if a girl's first priority was to have a place for her shoes and accessories rather than a game room. :P

I'm just waiting for the buyer to add one game to the collection then ask the guinness world records guys to come back and audit the new largest collection in the world.

AMSDOS

Does anyone remember Richard Prior in The Toy? There was a vast toy room in that movie, probably full of a lot of kiddie junk, I think there was some video games in the room though, I think Jackie Gleason's character could resemble Mr. Banks from Mary Poppins - probably some influence going on there.
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D * And create my own ;)
* Incorporating the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D

Gryzor

Well, if you convince her, I'll set up a permanent wall bunk for you :D Oh, and a mini soldering station underneath it, for good measure.

Well, it's not big, but should be enough - 40sq.m. I think. We'll see if she changes her mind if/when she starts working home-based...

Bryce

That's 35sqm more than I have! I'll send your good lady some words of encouragement :)

Please do :D I'll start a Kickstarter with a free beer award for those who try to convince her if it reaches fruition :D
