I assume you mean the External Gotek. To be honest I have not used it much yet. I bought it for a future CPC 464 Plus conversion to a 6128 Plus standard. I have tested it as a B drive on my CPC 6128 and it works fine. The Model is SFRKC30.AT4.35. It looks well made, the case is good. It has a 0.96" OLED and FlashFloppy version 3.42.

Quote from: Emu on 20:23, 14 June 25Can you describe the steps you took to install SymbOS? Are you using SymbOS 4?

It seems that I made a mistake in copying the files. On MacOS and iOS that is quiet difficult, as Apple does not simply merge files in existing folders.

Here are the steps how to install it on MacOS:
1. From the "CPC package" SymbOS-CPC40-MassStorage.zip -> the symbos folder and the symbos.ini and symg9k.ini into ~/Library/Application Support/CPCEmu/SDCARD
2. From the "Mass Storage Completion package" -> merge the symbos folder into ~/Library/Application Support/CPCEmu/SDCARD/symbos
3. From the "Amstrad CPC (newest)" copy the 4 roms into ~/Library/Application Support/CPCEmu/SDCARD/ROM
4. In the rom manager set the ROMs A-D to slots 1-4
5. Restart emulator and enter |sym

Then I've ziped the SDCARD folder, deleted the SDCARD folder on the iPhone and extracted it from the zip file. And now it is also working on the iPhone.
Thank you for this great emulator.

Quote from: Rabs on 15:09, 09 June 25I recently bought one of these, External Gotek and made up my own ribbon cable.

But some software expects to run from Drive A, the internal drive, where the external drive is Drive B.

See this thread A-B Switch.

I also have purchased these, Internal Gotek
how did you go with it and does it have the model number on it?

what are the best external Goteks?

What internal goteks are available for CPC that aren't Zaxon ones?

And... do they work like normal drives without screwing up the external one?

I can confirm it's an original bug. If you keep using the "death ray" during the boss fight, the screen shaking will act up for some reason. The good news is that it ain't a show-stopper, because you can simply jump to set back the screen position correctly.
I'll try to tackle it anyway, thanks for reporting it.

Ouch, yes that's weird. I never experienced that with that boss. Generally, I kill him in a matter of seconds by launching a grenade on the wall. I remembered a time when I saw the player disappeared & reappeared and thought we could live with that. I'll have to look closer into that, not sure if I can resolve it if it's an original bug!

Hey! Yea I managed to play through the entire game last night all the way to the end - including the ending sequence (which is great already)!

You can catch up with it the stream as a normal/public YouTube video here - https://www.youtube.com/live/JO3oryZ3to4

There is a bug, which is present in the original game anyway, with the World 4 Stage 1 boss - which you can see watching from the 2:26:30 mark .... if you sit using the laser, when he does a crush attack the programmer implement a 'screen shake' which unfortunately shifts the screen up but doesn't reset it down, moving the player sprite........ and yea - see what happens! I don't know if you can fix that or not?  :D

Quote from: HAL6128 on 17:14, 08 June 25Hi @Emu: just a report... starting the webserver functionality brings up an error while trying to dig into a folder .. maybe again only in my environment? :-(
Please describe in more detail what you are trying to do. The webserver does not support browsing into subfolders. However, it does not return an error if you click on a subfolder, but offers to download the subfolder (which results in an unusable file).

So, I don't understand how you end up in an error.
