Does anyone have a copy of the 1.7.2.7 firmware for the HxC Floppy SD Card version?

I can't find it anywhere online and I have a card with no SRAM so this is the latest firmware that'll work with it.

I don't have a HxC, but the closest I could find was v1.7.2.0

Not sure if that helps...maybe at least get you going.

Super, thanks! That will sort it for now.

If anyone does have 1.7.2.7 please let me know.

Why don't you add the SRAM (it's only used for Amiga anyway!)?

Are you sure the never software for HxC makes problems when using non-Amiga computers?

I don't want to add SRAM as I don't need it (as you said).

And I don't want to use the newest Firmware as it creates problems hence asking for the last known good version.

Well, I didn't know that new newer firmware versions make problems. Hope Jeff will correct that.

Which problem exactly?
And why you have updated your board if you "don't want to use the newest Firmware" ?!?!

The last good version is the v1.8.2.40. All older versions are not good! That's all.
The SRAM is now needed for all systems.

I don't recommend to anyone the usage of older versions (<1.8.X.X).

I am not creating new firmwares to "creates problems" but to solve issues and to enhance the device.

I have a Rev C SD Card HxC but it came with a very early firmware (v1.0.x) and I had a couple of issues - so I thought I would update the firmware to see if it sorted them out.

I installed the latest from your website (v1.8.2.40) as that was all I could find available.  I got the SRAM error and then the HxC wouldn't work at all with the CPC version of the Floppy Emulator Manager.

I then read a forum post that said if your board is an earlier model and doesn't have SRAM then you should treat it as a Rev B and hence only update the firmware to version v1.7.2.7.  This is also what it states in the release notes that come with the firmware update.

Well v1.8.2.40 definitely didn't work with my HxC (and CPC) and I don't have the ability to add the SRAM.  I 'downgraded' to v1.7.2.0 and all is working fine now.

What problems does a later fw cause? How did it not work?

I wonder how you can tell what revision you have if your board is cased...

The latest firmware gives you a physical SRAM error on booting the HxC.

Then all versions of the Floppy Emulator Manager refuse to work with it.

Gryzor

Ah thanks, because I have a unit showing some issues and wasn't sure if that might be the problem...

Because you have an obsolete version of hardware (B) (without SRAM).
As stated in the released note new firmware are only for Rev C,F, Slim...
The lastest version for rev B is v1.7.2.0

Yep, that's what I said all along.

Except v1.7.2.0 isn't available from your website.
